Apple’s Mac App Store ready to be launched on January 6th: TORONTO
Mark your calendars. Thursday, January 6th, your iMac or MacBook will now have their own App store, and installations of applications will be a click away (not that they were ever difficult before).

Mozilla’s Firefox overtakes Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in Europe

As reported by StatCounter, Mozilla’s web browser Firefox recently overtook Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) in a European post in December. According to StatCounter, a company that monitors browser usage, Mozilla’s Firefox scored 38% of market share, while Internet Explorer pulled in 37% in Europe.
Things are very different in North America. In the USA and Canada, Internet Explorer still reigns supreme with a 48% share of the browser market. Firefox follows with 26% while Chrome owns 12% and Apple’s Safari carved into 10% of the market share.

Facebook was not only the most searched item of the year, but it passed Google as America’s most-visited website in 2010, according to a new report from Experian Hitwise.
