7 Important Rules for an SEO company – Part 4

As an SEO company in Toronto we are doing this article on seven important rules for an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Company. Each article will focus on one important SEO rule. Be Strategic, Not Spammy
iRISEmedia and any other professional SEO company in Toronto would agree with the rule “be strategic, not spammy”.
This refers to anything under the umbrella of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This rule #4 in the series applies more to social media however the implications are the same across the SEO board. We could take this to a basic level. The same applies to link building. If an SEO company in Toronto were to post many comments and/or links for example on Facebook, at some point Facebook could catch on and freeze the account for a few days. If an SEO company in Toronto were to do the same and link build, link build and build even more links all at once, Google may get suspicious and possibly red flag the site. When posting on blogs and forums it is best to be original with your comments. Make sure the comment is relevant to the article that is being blogged about and the article you are linking too is relevant as well. In other words everything has to make sense. There is no point in posting a comment on an SEO company website and post a link to a car dealership.
Another tip to be aware of is not to get involved with link farms. A link farm links to everyone’s website however expects a reciprocal link in return. The problem is that once a site has been linked to a link farm the website could be black listed from Google. No link building spammy tactic is worth having your website lose credibility with Google. So when outlining your initial SEO plan always keep in mind “Be strategic not spammy”.
